Take your overlocking to the next level by making yourself a stretch dress. Made using both the overlocker and sewing machine, your dress will be ready in no time.
Using Tily and the Buttons best selling Coco dress pattern you can choose between a stand out funnel neck, or classic boat neck. Use your pattern to create classic Breton tops a cosy knit dress or go sixties-style with a funnel necks. With optional cuffs and patch pockets.
Who is this class for?
We won't be able to spend time showing you how to thread the overlocker on this class, but we will have them set up and ready to go for you. You don't need to have lots of overlocker experience we will help you get started.
This class is for you if you have used a sewing machine before and ideally had a chance to at least try out an overlocker. If in doubt, please just get in touch we are always happy to help.
This class is not for you if:
You have never used a sewing machine before - we recommend completing one of our beginners classes first.
What's included:
As well as all the tea you can drink, we will provide the sewing machines, all of the tools and threads you will need to complete your projects as well as any interfacing, elastic that you will need. You will also recieve your own copy of the Tily and the Buttons Billie pattern, yours to keep.
What do I need to bring:
You will need to bring the fabric that you need for your dress. After booking we will send you an email outlining the type and amount of fabric required.
LUNCH: We will take a half an hour break for lunch, please bring a packed lunch.
This is not really enough time to pop to the shops to buy something, so please bring your lunch with you so that we can ensure you have enough time to complete all of the projects.
We have a fridge you can store your lunch in and a microwave should you need. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
